During the years 1966 to 1977, a large group of children attended school in Dundee, South Africa. Some arrived after 1966, others left and did not matriculate at DHS. Some attended other primary schools before entering Dundee High School.
Their voices were heard on the sports fields and playgrounds, in the choir and asking intelligent questions in the classrooms.
The hostels were abuzz with students from the farming community, Swaziland and elsewhere.
Friendships were made, some have stood the test of time, others were forgotten as life went on.
That final day....everyone left, followed their dreams, got married, had children and grandchildren....many are now retired...
We need to re-connect. Therefore, we are searching for anyone who was in school with us through the years, to invite them to our 50th reunion in Dundee in 2027, and mini reunions in towns, cities and regions throughout the world..
Breaking News: Matric Reunion October 2017
40 years ago, we were the DHS Matric Class of 1977.
Back then we initiated the Std 6’s, behaved as if we owned the place
(actually we did!) and tried to behave a little more mature than in previous years.
Today, we have followed our careers, we’re heading to retirement, we have become grandparents and we experience aches and pains.
Our history and the present give us much to celebrate and therefore a 40th Matric Reunion will be a great way to do so.
Proposed Dates: 20 – 22 October 2017
This is the same weekend of “Talana Live” (see details below).
Attendees of our reunion are invited to participate in the Ghost Walk on
the Friday night and the Talana activities on Saturday and Sunday. It will
be great if we attend these festivities as a group.
We will hold a dinner/get-together on Saturday night for the 1977
Matrics. Venue

Sheryl Meyer Hesom lives in Dundee, and will be co-ordinating events.
She has requested volunteers to assist her with the planning.
